At Century Linen & Uniform (formerly Robison & Smith), we take pride in the community we’ve been a part of for over 100 years. Our team of over 300 people supports our community in many ways! Whether it be organizing and supporting team events and fund raisers, volunteering time around our neighborhoods, or donating funds or services to meaningful charities – our goal is to make a difference in the lives of others and have an lasting impact on the communities where they live and work.

Nathan Littauer Foundation EVENT raises over $120,000

Century Linen & Uniform sponsored and co-hosted the 2018 Nathan Littauer Foundation EVENT. Attendees enjoyed a take on New Orleans “Big Easy” feel and the energy and crowd-pleasing fun of a dueling piano show.

The EVENT is the single largest fundraiser in the NLH Foundation calendar and this year it raised more than $120,000 to support transformational projects including a new primary care center in Broadalbin, physicians center on the NLH campus, and the renovation of patient rooms in the hospital and nursing home.

Gala Benefits Local Disaster Relief and Community Development

Century Linen & Uniform again supported the 6th Annual SALT Development Bounty of the County Gala cocktail hour and gourmet dinner at the Schoharie Valley Farms Carrot Barn in Schoharie on Saturday July 7, 2018.

The dinner showcases regional food, beer, wine and spirits. Chef Michael Lapi and the Chefs’ Consortium worked with regional and local Schoharie Valley growers for a night of culinary decadence and delight.

Proceeds benefited SALT (Schoharie Area Long Term), which is a vital community development and disaster relief organization in Schoharie County. SALT is well known in the area for coordinating relief after Hurricane Irene. Now SALT focuses on the longest stage of recovery: economic development.

Support for Local First Responders

Century donated funds to support the 5th annual RUN 4 THE HILLS FOR FIRST RESPONDERS! – a 4 mile run/walk through the village of historic Sharon Springs, NY and surrounding countryside, benefiting the Sharon Springs Rescue Squad and nonprofit Hero Fund America, which supports education and training for first responders.

Run 4 the Hills and Hero Fund America support education, training and life-saving equipment needs for fire, EMS and law enforcement agencies.

Other Charities and Events We’ve Recently Supported Include:

Gloversville Housing Improvement, HFM Boces, Johnstown Schools PTA, Gloversville Enlarged School District, Fulton County YMCA, Habitat for Hummanity, the American Heart Association, Solvay Baseball, the Eccentric Club, Nathan Littauer Hospital, and many more!

Century Linen & Uniform accepts requests for donations on our website only, using the form below. Please describe your event to us, including whom or what it supports, and tell us how we can help. As the requests can be overwhelming, our Donation Committee meets monthly to select which causes we can support within our budget. We look to support the causes that are closest to our customers, team, and community – and we select the causes that will have the most meaningful, enduring, and widespread impact.

Our donation budget has been allocated through: December 31, 2018
We cannot accept requests for events or causes before this date. Many requestors submit many months in advance and our committee allocates approved requests on a monthly basis.
